Mine is on vertically. The police here understand it's a dirt bike and it will get ripped off if horizontal. I have the 06 small taillight and plate holder.

Well, I mounted mine horizontally and I cut the bottom inch off the rear fender in the hope that it won't get snagged by the rear tire at full shock compression.

In Dirt Rider's very favorable review of the FE570 a couple years ago, they made mention of the problem of the rear tire snagging the rear fender. Apparently the tire will catch the fender, bend it under, and then break it. That sounds like a pretty bad experience to me. Dirt Rider indicated that they heated up the plastic fender and straighted it's curve so that it remained out of the way of the tire, and they said they had no further problems with it. I've read that the fender may partially return to its former curve.

At any rate, that's why I didn't mount the license plate vertically.

Hey Rick, here's the part #'s for the light and plate holder I have.
I used to have the straight one and the city bus tailight.

Part numbers in the econd post, Motoxotica hooked me up. Was about 60-70$ I think.
I put a 1157 led bulb in mine.

Hello guys, new here... I am a Husa dealer and I have plenty license plate holders for FE and TE that nobody uses when we get the bikes. We always tear the bike down to strict racing before even putting it on the sales floor. It is the rear license plate holder that goes below the other fender that holds the LED tail light. I also have catalytic converters, SLS lines, turn signals and all the stuff EU bikes come with. Let me know if anybody needs any of these and I can ship collect through Fedex
