To all with the Clarke Tank,
If you have a new tank, take a pic and post it! For those(like me) trying to decide what color to get, a real life picture would be awfully helpful. For some reason the color swatches on the Clarke website don't do it for me. I searched the gallery, the only two colors are Yellow(the prototpe) and natural. If you got a black or blue tank, we need you!
Many thanks,
Aaron.

Aaron,

good point, plus, if we can see a full profile of the entire bike to see how the tank looks on the bike from all angles, that would be nice. The only photos I can find are close ups of the tank area, but do not show the lines of the entire bike.

Thanks!

Here's mine. I'm posting the photobucket links as I'm on super slow dial up right now. (The oil spots are from my old Chevy)

isnt that the tank that boss spent all the dough to get done?
arent you 'supposed' to buy it from him?
am i close to being correct?

Tuts,

for clarification, I only plan on buying from BOSS. My assumption is that Aaron referred to it as Clarke since they manufacture it for BOSS, but good point! Again, I agree, we owe it to BOSS to buy from him since he fronted for development.

I sorta assume that buying these tanks from Boss is a given at this point! Hopefully everyone who wants one will agree.

excellent.
now nobody gets hurt!. :violent1:
i prefer the natural myself.

Nice pictures HFM, I think natural looks the best of the colors I've seen. What kind of car is hiding in the background?

I guess the main one is my '66 suburban 4x4, and there's a little of the '67 camaro that should be on the road hopefully before I qualify for social security, though it's doubtful. Oh yeah, my girl friend's '85 Toyota 4x4 is lurking back there somewhere too.

Absolutely!!! For clarification, yes I am refering to the "Boss" fuel tank manufactured by "Clarke". Personally I'm not interested in buying it from anyone but the guy that stuck his neck out to get it made so the rest of us could enjoy the fruits of his labour. Boss's price is competitive, he should get the business.

Keep the pics coming....
Aaron

PS I didn't like the natural at first but its growing on me.

Check back in the post containing post moab pictures, I beleive Sethro and Cypher posted pictures of my 00 FE501 with the big tank in blue. In all honesty though the blue is closer to Yamaha blue than Berg. If you go for the stealth look with your plastic I think the black would be the call, the natual is nice to see the fuel easily (it still can be seen thru the blue and yellow with a close look) If I did it again I think I would go yellow.

here are a couple of pics of the "blackberg" with the stock and 4 gal tank (before and after). only prob w/ the graphics is i can't remember where i put the "boss" stickers for the 4gal.

Ned, WOW!! What a great looking Husaberg . Where ever did you find such a beauty of a machine. Seeing it with the BIG tank has made up my mind to go BIG and BLACK on my soon to come 550. How many times do people ask YOU, "What kind of bike is THAT"???

P.S. How is that Trials tire working in your neck of the woods?

ron, the cart you see is the wife's chinese dazon raider :sleepy4: . she doesn't wanna do 2 wheels anymore and no way was she getting a qwad :crossbones:
mike, the trials tire sticks like glue, but so far i've left about ten knobs somewhere in the coconino and prescott natl forest. i'm gonna hafta be careful they don't get me for littering.
