with all the MX boys and SM riders out there you would have thought there were 100 orders for a 7 litre (1.5 imperial gallons) racing fuel cell!

i can get longer and narrower radiators made here in the UK but i guess the price of these two items and the longer louvres would make the cost prohibitive!

BTW i can get between 2 and 2.5 hours out of the standard tank on 14 x 51 gearing.

Hello Taffy,

Since we also make the moulds for plastics used on the quads we make (see my gallery) I thought about making the smaller tanks. Sometime ago I asked around and mentioned it on the forum here also. But there wasn't enough interest for them to start up a serie. Should this have changed I would love to hear it.

If you are referring to a slmmer tank to smooth the transition between the tank and seat, I am interested. Are you indicating that the Ortema tank is not available?

I would love to have a tank more like the ones on the Vertematis. If I could mount the existing auxiliary tank under the seat and have the original one replaced with one that lets the seat come "closer to the bars" and also is narrower in the knee area I would LOVE that.

I once rode a FC450sm with an aluminium tank which allowed my knees to come about 4cm in total closer to each other and that made a remarkable difference.

on the very first day i rode my then new steed i had taken off the 'fanny flaps' within an hour!

i couldn't believe how big they were! how hard the bike was to ride with them. if you look at test rides in mags and the pictures they show of angles from the front you can see the riders look more like the legendary '***-ash lil' or 'eskimo nell' a coupla good hoors if ever there were!

i recommend to any rider on a test day to try the bike without the flaps and feel the difference.
