Leaking oil filter cover

Hi Guys, got an 07 FE550 love the bike but have a few small issues with it the weep hole on the water pump is currently leaking oil for which I have ordered the OB kit, now ever since I bought the bike its had a small oil leak out of the oil filter cover where the cover gets bolted to the filter housing, I've tried slightly bigger o rings, o ring grease, and am honestly starting to run out of options, I took a look at the inside of the housing and it looks a bit rough but thats about all I can see, I tried to order a new filter cover from my local ktm dealer, the part number is a good number but I was told that the part is no longer available, just wondering what you all think I could do to fix this. Try Reno KTM in Nevada. (775) 358-four three eight eight.

Or pull it off, clean it with hot water and soap till it's spotless. Put a thin coat of ThreeBond on the lip of it to seal it up. Let it dry overnight.
