Hey Fiend -

The KTM triples are not compatable with the 'berg. It would be a big (read expensive) job to try and adapt them.

The factory 'berg offset is 20mm...

Powercell,
Do you know what it is about the KTM clamps that do not work with a Husaberg? I am guessing the bearings are of different size, but was hoping the outer dimensions are the same.

Does anyone know if a different offset than 20mm works better?

The 04 Berg parts manual lists offset as 22mm, did it change(I haven't measured my 02 yet)??? And what is not compatable, is the stem of different length and/or diameter?

Powerfiend,

KTM triple clamps will fit on the bergs with not much difficulty. I am running a set of TAG clamps for a 125/250SX. Not sure but I think they are for an '01 model, back when KTMs had the 43mm forks. The steering stem bearings are different so you have to buy the KTM bearings as well but they drop right in the Husaberg head tube. The only modification you have to make is a spacer to go under the top clamp as the steering stem is slighlty longer on the KTMs, about 1/4" or so is all. BTW my bike is a '00 FE600.

Thanks Teaka. What you have said is music to my ears. I have been searching for an answer to my question for some time, now. I have a KTM steering assembly on its way, from ebay. Now that I know it will work, I can start assembling my FE444, and see how it works.
