KTM’s expected take-over by quad maker Polaris has fallen through. The two companies still plan to work together but KTM will stay an independent company.
The deal was set in place last year and saw the two firms working together on distribution and technology with a view to Polaris eventually buying the controlling stake in KTM. But KTMs majority shareholder Cross Industries has decided the firm would be better served by staying independent. They will continue to work together on the rest of the deal but Cross will not sell its controlling share.

Interesting.

This does not surprise me at all.Question is ,what happened to, and what was the point of the $25M bank transfer from Polaris Inds to Cross Industries?.

Hi, what's the source of that press release (where did you read it) ?

Cheers,

Brett

My guess is Polaris still wants to keep their 25% (or something like that) interest in KTM but they've decided that they don't need to buy a controlling interest in KTM.
