Since KTM ripped off the Berg Barrel design anyone know if the water pump gasket from a KTM will work on a 2000 FE 501????? I messed mine up and I want to ride this weekend (too long to get it from Motoxotica)

Hi Ron,

I just made one from gasket paper I got from Pep Boys.

Use the old one for a pattern.

They work great!

The ktm gasket willl not work. The water pump assembly one of the things ktm improved when they copied the design. It is bigger in size and layout. However, you probably could fit a ktm cylinder and head on top of the 2k berg engine with some modifications.
 
Ya my brother stopped by the KTM dealer and came to the same conclusion , so hopefully when I get home tonight he will have it made for me. Go in to Silverton tomorrow, oh by the way Joe got those rockers drilled... Thank You!

Yo Ron, Watch out for lots of JEEPS this weekend, especially on the Alpine Loop over to Lake City. You'll have a great ride wish I was there with you and the Big Bro. The pic is above Engineer Pass last year.
