i thought i'd start a thread and try and get it written down - yes if we have part numbers - but most importantly a crossrefence of which bike and even year that some of this stuff fitted?

i'll start by asking about these items?

early CFBs
late CFBs
camchain?
rocker arms
decomp
30 and 35mm valves
valve guides and seals
springs and cotters for the above?
cam sprocket
crank gears
clutch
gear selector
gears
gear selector forks and rods

this would really suit someone who strips orange bikes as well like orangeberg....

anyone had experience with ktms and wants to tell us what cross references?

what about the water impellor?

i believe the camshafts from the ktms can be made to fit the huseys.

sheesh what a bunch....

Taffy

Someone once said that certain KTM rockerarms are a direct bolt in too

RE: Re: RE: KTM crossreference

yes i think that must be the ones from the '04 onwards engines. the rocker arm pins changed length to long and short as well.

they don't share pistons i don't think although ktm do use a 100mm piston as well!

the woessner site has some great info on it but email the staff and they are absolutely useless.

i would think the rosker shaft end caps are also the same.

i don't think that there is anything in the codes that says "husaberg only" etc.

RE: Re: RE: KTM crossreference

i know that the rear tail light for my 05 berg is the same as an 04 kato

RE: Re: RE: KTM crossreference

headlamp will be as well as would the whole thing if it weren't for the colour!

forks and most of the rear shock. wheels and spacers i should think. sprockets for sure.

very interested in the engine though....

Go to Bikebandit.com, choose search, oem part, KTM and then type in the Husaberg part number (must be the new type KTM number). If there is a match it will tell you what KTM machines it fits and the price.

You could also type in a known KTM part number and search what Husabergs it will fit.

well i may well do that!

thing is, the early 8mm CFBs would never cross reference. thats all about what you know!

which KTM are they off BTW?

Taffy

If someone has the new KTM style part number we can try it. The old Husaberg part number 200019-01 or 02 won't work on the Bike Bandit site.

If a Husaberg part (04-) begins with a 5 then its a KTM part ie 590 denotes it as an RFS part.

If it begins with an 8 then its a Husaberg specific part.

04- Husey rocker arms are RFS items, as are the shafts.

03- Husey CFBs are the same as RFS. You will only find them listed as a seperate part in 02 or earlier KTM parts lists- after that they only list the complete rocker arm

RFS and early Husey (02/03) have different pitch cam chains and sprockets- not sure about 04-

Crank gears are different. RFS has starter sprag built into primary crank gear.

Gear selector- no. RFS has long shaft and is on RHS on engine.

Clutches are shared on 03- RFS and 04-Bergs I believe??. Thats when they both went to the nut retaining the clutch I believe

Someone might want to confirm all the above.

I simply ordered mine as a KTM RFS part (which is what they are originally)

- 590.36.016.000 (decomp)
, 590.36.017.000 for the spring.

from ausberg!

KEEP 'EM COMING LADS!!!!
