Hi!

Is the transmission/cluch cover on the 550 -03 interchangable with the one from a 450 -06. The one on the 550 is in bad shape as the picture show.
Only difference I can see is that the 450 has a separate cover just for the clutch that is removable.

If not I guess i'll have to grind the edges down and hope for it to seal with a new gasket.

Best Regards

use plained baton and a littlepiece of wet n dry and get it nice and flat again.

rotary file away that casting lip inside where the coolant enters the fosset. don't use just 100% water or you'll get a brown stain in your underpants.

I have no idea what a "plained baton" is.

You mean don't use 100% water as coolant in the system because it's less dense than real coolant?

And I'm assuming that the 450 cover don't fit? The one I have is in so much better shape.

the reason there's a brown stain in there is because somebody has previously used 100% water and it has created rust.

plained baton = plained wood.

I have ordered the gaskets and they might even arrive before the weekend.
Gonna hope for the best that the water stays inside the engine.
