installing fmf 4.1.....anything special need to be done?

Hi everyone, just ordered a TI FMF 4.1 for my 2008 FE 450 and was just wondering if any special mapping.....etc needed to be done to the bike before riding? i've read a couple of posts where people have indicated to just slip on the new exhaust and let the bike run/idle for 15 minutes and it will automatically adjust to the new exhaust? Is there anyone out there with a 2008 FE450 that can confirm that this is all they have done?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice that you can provide.

The 2008 models have a carby so letting them idle for 15 minutes does the same as letting the 2009 EFI models idle for 15 minutes. Nothing :lol:

Sorry, my bad. My bike is an efi 2009 FE450, so no carb on it.

alright boyz!! the muffler just arrived today and i'm racing home to put it on tonight!!

anything special i need to do, or just slip it on and give 'er?

any feedback would be appreciated.

All easy mate read the instructions and put it on.I run a michelin s12 140 and it doesnt hit.I run myn with no restrictor in and it sounds cool.Very nice fitting pipe that is short and out of the way would recommend to anyone.
