I can exchange anything but I won't sell. as you know, you can have a reconditioned one that has the 'latest' 650 ignition curve put into it. we've only had one person do it and he said that the racing ignition curve made it smoother around town!

oh dear!

Basically, development lead bike production by two years and Husaberg got out of SEM in October 2002 at the start of the production run of 2003 bikes. but SEM had two more years of work in hand on their advance curves. a look in the parts books from 2001, 2002 and 2003 shows that even though there was little or no change in many other features of the bikes: ALL the ignition modules got changed every year for the better.

so they had a few designs left.

back to the first sentence I don't think it is a "Racing" curve, I reckon that just sounds good! just "better allround" is what I'd guess.

if you want a PM why start here?

OK, they aren't making anymore so I need to keep what stock I have. swops only!

I have 2 x 400 ans 1 x 501 at present which is no good to you I'm afraid.

but yours can be reprogrammed to a 650 and upgraded at the same time to what would I guess have been 2004/5 specs and also will work with a ting-tong electrex stator. that I can do...

Hi Ned,

Yes all the stators are the same from 99 to 03, no matter what size engine you have. The only thing that differs slightly is the connectors, some come with three spades and the other a solid connector block.

220.00 for a repaired and reprogrammed unit. I might be able to get both done for 180 as yours hasn't gone wrong scab

OK , I'm in need of a little more help.. I was able to find a used stator & cdi from a '99 fe501 & my bike starts right up now but for some reason the fuse that runs from the key switch blows , I have went over every wire & there is no wire touching anywhere ... anyone know what else might make the fuses blow?
hope someone can help ,thank you in advance

Hi Scab,

At a guess it sounds like you have a live feed going some where it shouldn't, this is the only explanation I can give if all the rest of the wiring is in good shape and non of the wires are chaffed.
Work your way back from the fuse that blows, just follow the wires and you will find the fault.

Regards

Sparks.
