Does anyone know where I can get a can of spray paint to touchup the frame of a 1998 FE400e. I need to repaint my kickstand after I had it welded. Thanks

Krylon makes a blue that is a very good match.
I'm not sure on the exact colour but there are 2 to choose from.

my local garage had to match up the pain and they said that the old 'fordson supermajor' blue was very clos.

Taffy

gary,
see what you think about ford engine blue. i seem to remember its pretty close. or do what everybody else does: go to walmart with the kickstand, pry off the cap, and spray a sample.

btw

do you yanks know wha a fordson supermajor is? (w/o going into google search)

clue: i learnt to drive in one aged 8.

Taffy,
My first car was a 1952 Austin.Cost me $75.. but was worth much less..Besides introducing me to the exiting world of auto mechanics I recall little about it.One lesson that did stay with me was to carefully avoid any mechanical device that said "made In England" on it anywhere.
So NO I have no idea what a Fordson supermajor is,I can only imagine. :D

It is very close, and for a kickstand that will be particularly subject to scuffs, it should be close enough to perfect.

Thank you to all for the leads. I think finding Fordson tractor paint will be harder than just matching it as close as I can at the touchup department at the autoparts store.

yeh but longshanks, life is a journey man!

kez, that tractor on the left is the greatet mechanically propelled advancement of all time - the ferguson TE20. the one on the right is a nuffield. i watched my dad start one when i was 5 and i went out when he wasn't looking and copied him.

i drove it straight into the garage wall. he'd have 'grounded me' if he could but where else was a 5-year-old going anyway!!!!!!

Taffy

To get as close as possible search out a paint supplier who can match your kickstand to a specrum chart, like Dupont spectra master and then make up an airesol can for you.
