Been Refitting My Head Today,New Chain,Tensioner And Blade,Etc Fitted Side Case Back On And Water Pump Only To Find The Kick Start Now Doesnt Work The Way It Should. The Thing Is Permantly Engaged!!!! And I Hadnt Even Touched The Thing.
What Could I Have Done Wrong,Why Does This Bike Hate ME!

When was the last time you hugged your Husaberg? How long has it been since you told it "I love you". Can you even the remember the last time you took it out of the garage and showed it a really good time?
I suspect it will take a lot of time and effort on your part for the healing to begin. I find little gifts of affection here and there go a long way. Little things like a new alloy gas cap or a Lineaweaver oil fill cap.
It's all got to start with you :D

As far as the kick starter goes, pull the clutch cover off and have a look. They are a spring loaded pain in the arse. If you had the clutch cover off it may have sprung itself.

Cant Even Remember The Last Time I Rode It Without It Going Wrong!!,Think The First Week We Has It All Was Well.
I've Also Tried The Good Guy/Bad Guy Thing With It,Does Nothing.
It Also Hates Any Gifts I Buy It. Went Pear Shaped After Fitting New Grips,Trailtech,Hand Guards And Sump Guards.
It Must Be Female!!!

Kez,
Breathe in ---- breathe out --- breathe in --- breathe out.
Now, try to NOT become anthropomorphically involved with your bike. Treat it like the simple machine that it is, pull the side cover off, and examine the kick start mechanism to see what came adrift when you had it apart. You seem to be passably endowed with mechanical aptitude, so if you are patient and attentive to the problem I guarantee that this will work.
However, if your bike truely does hate you you are in BIG trouble.
Dez.

I hate my bike also because I lov it so much.... dammmit-----

take the cover off and clutch etc. fit the spring and then slip the gear wheel onto the spring complete. fit the kickstart lever and then turn the shaft around. as soon as the 'keyhole' goes past the high point on the plate (this is at the R/H end) drop/press everything down and into the case.

regards

Taffy

if you take of the clutchcover, put the kickstarter on the axel, push it inwards and apply some pressure turning it while you use a wrench on the crankshaftnut to turn the engine, the kickstart mechanism will return to normal again.

After About 12 Times Playing With It I Finally Got It To Fit Correctly,Still Feels A Little Odd,Bit Its Been Out Of Oil For The Best Part Of A Month Now So I'll Wait Till Its Been Run Before Passing Judgment On It
