I need to ask a dumb question,I am new to Husaberg .
What is or was the connection between Husaberg and Husky???
I have noticed that some items are interchangeable.

huskvarna are the oldest manufacturers in the world and have been going since 1903. they sold out to the castagloini brothers that owned cagiva, ducati, morini and MV. they later shipped production down to italy and so the staff stayed up in sweden and started the husaberg marquee in 1988. they have also eventually sold out in 1998 to KTM in austria (or so) and moved production there for the 2003 model.

regards

Taffy

Husaberg is a spinoff of Husky in the very late 80's. Both originated in Sweden now both are under European ownership. Husaberg/KTM, Husky/BMW. Very few parts are interchangable.

Great Stuff !!!!
I rode Husky's in the 70's ,but have just recently got back into dirt bikes.
Very odd, as is said " What was once old is now new again"

Husaberg was actually sold to KTM in 95 and the last model made here was the 2003. The 2004's were made in Mattighofen.

RE: Re: RE: HUSKY & HUSABERG

Actually in,

1883 - Germans Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach developed a four-stroke internal combustion engine and installed it in a self-propelled bicycle - hence the worlds first motorcycle.

1893 - E. J. Pennington built the first American motorcycle, a horizontal twin two-stroke.

1894 - Hildebrand and Wolfmuller made the world's first production motorcycle, a 1,428cc four-stroke with 2.5 bhp and a top speed of 25 mph. It was made under licence in France for one year under the name Petrolette

1898 - Ariel showed it's first bike

1899 - Matchless motorcycles was founded

1900 - The first four stroke standard motorcycle production engine was developed

1901 - Norton Motorcycles company starts, Ariel made it's first production motor propelled bike, Royal Enfeild started, The Indian Motorcycle company started

1903 - Husqvarna and a little known brand called The Harley Davidson Motor Company started in competition to Indian

1905 - The first all Triumph made motorcycle was released and Norton's first motorcycle was produced using a Peugot motor

But nobody likes a smart a*#e... so I'll just shut my big fat pie hole :)

Cheers
