i end up with a bruised tailbone or base of spine , after a decent ride. i have removed the polystyrene base from the seat , tried different foam , i even have foam in my nylons . it helps but still gives me grief .i stand up when i can , does anyone have the solution ? :(

get to work on that suspension. your rear shock isn't right!

try undoing the screw at the top of the rear shock a little. the compression. also around it is the 'high speed' compression. you need to do both and really soften your ride.

think about your relationship with your bars-nearer or further?

tyre pressures 12-15 pounds.

when i first got mine i wasn't in rythem with it either! it happens so don't overly panic.

how ya doin taffy , i have been at work on the shock , i have recently installed a heavier spring and now have the sag at 115mm . i had this problem from day 1 even when the spring was to soft . now i have fitted the heavier spring it really is giving it to me . i weigh 95 kilos - dont know what that is in lbs

kilos to pounds is real easy. it's double plus a tenth.

so 95 becomes 190 + 19 = 209lbs. so we weigh exactly the same at 14 stones 7-12 pounds.

the standard spring has always been good to me. i have a straight rate 71-90/260 I THINK. this means the spring is 260mm long.

it is unwound after 4 racing seasons to 259mm which i think is virtually perfect. although i'm off to get my rebuilt rear shock today that hadn't been done for 2.5 seasons. so it may change.

i've had it upo and i've had it down but unlike you i only had to have the sag at 100-105mm on the '02s.

so i had a 'straight 90'.

hope that helps.

Taffy
