hello everyone, I am asking for help, I need to adjust the carburetor keihin fcr 41 in my husaberg fc 600 00 I will add that it works on the original delorto and it does not want to on keihin, sometimes it will start and suddenly go out twice so it bounced that little legs did not break off once I even managed to ride , there is enormous power and I like my Berg very much, I need to tune this carburetor to this model, I think that knowledge will be useful to someone, please help ...
 
Depends on your elevation and temperature but perhaps a baseline is a 07 FE450 with stock needle and then richer pilot and main? Seems a bigger bore (600) could get away being leaner though? Here's what I have, it starts really well with kicker or button. I have a Shorai battery with 210 CCA.

OBDVRT needle from clip (5) to clip (7) (lowest and most rich), 45 PJ, 178 MJ, 3.25 turns on fuel screw.

This is for sea level at 75F temperature.
 
I hate to say it shrubitup but being allowed to advertise that jetting should be made a crime. I just had a guy in the States running my new experimental needle and he is down to a 145MJ and just bought a 142 and 140 to test. even I told him to hold up!

165 is all you need with the E series and about 168MJ with the D series. and that is being conservative.

whoooaaa horsie!!!!!!! HMOG. The DVT is a good woods needle. that's it, up to 30mph its good, after that it's ****. as for the 175MJ. I've just had to sit down....I'll be OK in a bit!

thanks for the answer, but I did not understand?, the carburetor I have now was installed in ktm 520/25 sx, I noticed a play on the spindle in it, in the husaberg I did a renovation, the entire engine was dismantled, all cleaned, new bearings and seals in the entire engine, new timing gear, piston, head regeneration, new crank, so only the carburetor remains to be pampered, it seemed to me that since ktm 520 is a copy of the husaberg engine, the carburetor should work without any problems in moum fc 600 2000

Did you replace the pilot jet? They are the most common to become clogged.
 
My carb has a 175 main, a 50 pilot and the low speed adjuster is out 3.5 turns,

I'm at 1000 ft alt.

what is the number of revolutions of the idle air adjustment screw?
 
there are two screws, one regulates the speed by raising the throttle
and the other one regulates the air so which how many turns?
 
The one in the bottom is 3.5 turns the other one raises the slide and that adjust your idle speed so it will be set to were you want it.
 
the black knob is the choke.
the red knob is hot start.
the black one at the bottom right is the idle (tickover) screw
the one under the middle is the Pilot Screw. This photo is of an original brass screw that is barely visible.

I attach a second photo of an "extended pilot screw"

the correct name is pilot screw because you are adjusting the quantity of pre-mixed fuel air. you can't change the ratio - just the amount. as a general rule; when the screw is after the slide; it's a pilot screw.
if it is before the slide then it is either an air screw or a fuel screw. these aren't as good though as pilot screws.

if you have 3.5 turns of pilot screw you are running a very small PJ and a large PAJ. either way it is fecked.

Gamer!!!! the pilot screw should not be far from 1.5 turns out and if it were 3.5 there would be a problem with the jets in the carb.

you set the PS to what the engine wants not what someone here is telling you.

also, the needle; rich is better than lean (for no problem running) so you want to be in clip 6 of 7 from the top. this is a healthy start.

You need to tell us which carb that you have too.

update, the carburetor turned out to be worn out, the inability to set idle speed is the main symptom, the cost of regeneration in Pl is 75 eur
