I'm new on this forum and i don't know if there is this kind of topic already, probably yes just couldn't find it. :)
But I was wondering, altough they say that KTM and Husaberg are completely different bikes and the parts don't fit to each other, etc etc. So do KTM parts fit to my Husaberg or not? The engine parts maybe not but how about the plastic panels and lights and that kind of stuff?
I would really like to know because it's kind of diffucult to find "only Husaberg parts"... But KTM's parts you can find almost from the every grocerystore... :D

There are very few engine parts that interchange with KTM.
A lot of brake , chassis and suspension parts will interchange.

But how about the plastic kits? Because I'm concidering a black plastic kit and I'm having a hard time to find one...
And ofcourse, KTM has got plenty of black plastic kits etc...
 
If your bike is 2000+ the front fender will interchange, possibly the headlamp shroud.

no, they fasten quite differently and are a different shape. the yellow rad fins were the only yellow on the "blackberg".
i think you'd have to paint them with plastic paint.

i dont think you will find black and only Husaberg make them and only in the original colour and they are getting harder to buy, even later models are not made made by replica plastic companies if they do they dont ship to Australia, i know you can get black shrouds and rear guard from Husaberg for 2005 to 2008 and use the KTM font mudguard and headlight surround.
Ktm shrouds and rear guards will not fit. your Berg 2000 headlight may even be different as Husaberg up until 2009 used the same shape headlight that was used on the 2000 to 2004 KTM exc range.
Up until about 2003-2004 Husaberg only shared some body parts with KTM then after they started using engine parts like clutch components etc, its easy to work out what is KTM and what is Husaberg by the part number if it starts with a 5 usually 590 its a KTM part if it starts with 800 its solely a Husaberg Part.
Your old 2000 has a different part number system to what they use now, i have a computer system which automatically supercedes the old number to the new if if the part is still used.

chassis = bodywork = same through to 2008.

therefore a set of black rad shrouds should be easy to source?

i may be missing something here but that is how I see it.

ok i got of my lazy arse and dug my old manuals out of the archives and found the part numbers and a 2000 shroud or spoiler as they call it is 160 168 01 RH - 160 169 01 LH Yellow no black option offered, they look the same shape as later models but have 6 vent holes moulded in them, 2001 has the same part no but has only 2 vent holes, 2003 part no 160 208 01 RH 160 209 01 LH 2 holes, in 2004 part numbers changed to current system
800 08 050 000/80 LS, 800 08 051 000/80 RS 2 holes and still yellow BUT from here we have a black option
800 08 050 000/30 LS - 800 08051 000/30 RS, 2 holes 2005 ran the same part as 04, so you should be able to use the later part number and they will fit the 2000 the only difference is the amount of moulded vent holes. They come with the rubber grommet intalled in the hole that fixes it down at the radiator and use your old screw and spacer. Somebody may have both a 2000 and 2004 in there shed maybe before you buy you could ask them to check fitment for you.
BUT you CANNOT use 2006 model because they did alter the location where lower of the plastic screws locates the spoiler to the tank.
In Australia the black 2004 retails at $75 each.

Sry beeing lazy to answer this topic... Haven't visited here a while, but thanks to you ORANGEBERG, you have been a great help! I think i have to visit our local motorcycle dealer around here and try asking them.
Last time I talked to them the were quite sure that they could find me one black plastic kit...
But now we have winter here in Finland and all the lakes are frozen so a pair of good spike tyres would be nice :D
Alltough i don't have so much money so i have to see what i'll end up with...

Finally i found black plastic sidepanels to my berg. From the official importer, at price of 30€/piece.
What do you think of the price?
 
they are £20 in the UK which is 21 euros i think?
