Hello!

Is there any solution to fix Husaberg 650 bad electric starter?

The model on the starter is: Mitsuba SM-14 12V
I have a spare starter as well: Mitsuba F.N.E 12V (I have never tested it).

The starter can crank the engine when i pull the decomp wire, but when I let go, it doesn't have enough power. Not even when I used a car battery.

Previous owner did change the stator.

The bike starts easy with kick starter.
The valves are correct, 0,10 mm.

Please give me some tips or a guide for a solution.

Best regards
Robert

Hello Robert

make sure the white wire into the 'coil' is live when you press the starter button. this boosts the coil spark.

there are many stronger starters of which I sell one with a mounting bracket.

make sure you have a CTZ7s or YTZ7s battery.

the starter is likely ther problem.

the other thing can be an over advanced ignition timing. I have a video about the timing in the taffmeisters FB page.

cheers

Taffy
