Hello for the first time!
I had to dismantle mine 550 (2006) because of some steel shavings and aluminium slime on my oil plug. Everything worked "fine", it had only couple issues which were really clear when I dismantled engine.
Now I have 'little' problem because if I would be very smart I change also connecting rod. My old rod hasn't any failures I think but it will be the first thing to explode with my fortune if I don't change it. So where can I find new rod? I send an email to Taffmeisters and obviously they had same oem partnumber rod with same stroke, same RPM and same pressures. If I figured out the case it has been tested only in 501 model. If I were so brave, could I buy one and try it without having big troubles? My crank is already waiting at the workshop so I need to do something soon.
OEM partnumber 80030015000 (Fowlers Parts catalog)
Friendly regards
