Hi everybody. Last sunday, a few friends went to a hill near to our city, to do a enduro trip. The sun and stones made that trip hard. I made some videos, and i let you here to see them. Enjoy them.

Great vids, Cienfu .... thanks for posting!
Do you use a trials tire or knobby tire for those conditions?

Cheers! E-Ticket

Hi E-Ticket, in my enduro trips, i ride in differents grounds (stone, grass, sand, etc.). The best tire for me and for my kind of enduro trips, is Michelin, and now i'm riding the Michelin S12, 90/90 21 in front wheel, and 140/80 18 in rear wheel.

Thank you for your response.

The Michelin S-12, and now the new XC version, has been my choice of tires for many years.
But then I tried the Dunlop D-803 of trials tire on the back (w/ an ultra- or heavy-duty tube) and the traction and control is amazing! And as a plus, there is less rebound "bounce" on rocks and tree roots due to the more flexible sidewall.

My first thought on seeing your tight, rocky trail was, "...oh that is perfect for a trials tire."

You might want to give it a try! Cheers, E-Ticket

I loved the videos.
MT 43 front and rear with Tubless set up. Put a 12 front sprocket then you will be looking for harder trails. :eep:

I enjoyed watching your ride from a part of the world so different from my home. Very interesting countryside. I pity the people who had to pile all those stones, it must have been backbreaking labour. How old would those walls be?

First of all, thank you for your responses. :)

I can't specify the exact date of construction of those stone walls, but i can say they are older than 200 years, more o less, the years of the history of USA !!!.

Greetings.

Hah! That would explain why they are so challenging to deal with and hard to get around. LOL!

I am definitely going to try a trials tire for the first time on my next rear tire change (which is just about due). I have heard for years how great they are...funny but I think the main reason more people don't try them is looks...now that I'm 40 I'm ready to put logic and function before form...it will probably be like when I went from 35s to 33s on my old F250...looked really funny at first but later it looked just right after I adjusted to it...and the 33s were MUCH better all around.

Great videos...looks like your berg was handling well in spots your buddy was struggling through on the two stroke... 8O

My buddy is 46 years old!!!. He ran the Portuguese National Enduro Championship last year, and now he is running some races of the Spanish N.E.C., and some locals enduro races. He run with a Sherco 300i 2012, and have the Hsb 2stroke for our amateur rindings. He definitively is better rider than me 8) .
I'm glad you liked the videos. Greetings

That looks like so much fun. Can I come and ride with you and your friends. I'll offer a free exchange of a guided ride here in America for a chance to go ride with you there. I even have a spare KTM 525 you can use.

Wonderful place!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Here's one more for you.
This ride was made up of two groups: one regular trail riders, and one with faster, crazier (?) expert riders.
Be sure to click on the video titled: "Here's Adam's story about his switchback crash. Umm ... he was *very* lucky. :^O "

And there is one video at the very end ... that is from the "fast/extreme" group ... but it is very long.
You should get a coffee or beer and snack before sitting down to watch it. <grin>

Cheers! E-Ticket
