Hi....
I am new to here and also a new husaberg fe 501 2004 owner.... I purchased today ☺
I am new to enduro bike and have come from riding bikes on the roads (GSXR 1000)
I wonder if anyone on here could help me.... ??
My husaberg spits coolant out of the overflow at times... is this Normal? How much coolant should I expect to see / use.... should I fit a overflow tank... also my radiator cap is a 1.4, is this correct as i was told it should be at least a 1.8 ????
I would appreciate any help...☺
By the way I love the bike, it flys. I took it out in the woods where I used to ride off road bikes growing up, and loved it. ☺

Hi

Unfortunately it's not uncommon in tight and technical stuff.

Yes you can get the 1,8 bar, but even then sometimes it happens. You can make the carb a bit richer on the idle region, and can also install a fan.

also, don't overfill the radiator. coolant level should be just on top of the fins.

Thankyou for your help guys.
I think i am going to install a fan for piece of mind, can any1 recommend what kind of fan to use.
Has any1 seen those radiator cap with the built in temerature guage.... has any1 any thoughts on them?
Thanks again for the above into

Hi

I think in the 04 you can already install the one used by ktm for many years

It's the SPAL Type VA32-A101-62A 12V

Here you have a pict

Hi again ☺
I plan on fitting a small catch tank. .. do I need to change my radiator cap to allow it to be sucked back in?
Has anybody on here done this before on a fe 501?

Thanjs
