Have managed to successfully fit a set of 5860109901404 orange triple`s to
my fs650 11/ 14 offset.
Made a huge improvement to steering.
Not an easy swap though.
Good.
There are two options you could add the 5mm to the top of the head or to the bottom.
I chose the bottom.
It would of coarse an effect on which you choose?
I put the 5mm shim to the top of the head.
I think there is now way to put it on the bottom. Because if you first add 5mm shim then the bearing will not have the wider diameter on the triple clamp axle.
Looking from the bottom:
bottom clamp
bearing seal
bearing from ktm
steering head
bearing from ktm
5mm shim
bearing seal
steering head cover
adjusting nut
top clamp
collar screw
KTM steering head bearing 54201081100
I bought in the store with bearings: NTN L45449/L45410 - are cheaper them OEM

They are 10mm wider because these triple clamps are dedicated to the KTM 620/640/660 Supermoto.
LC4 supermoto have wider clamps and longer wheel axle to fit big brembo caliper. They also have 5mm spacer under the front brake disc.
And they are not produced in a long time.
Because they have a small offset are very desirable on the secondary market.
I had them in KTM 380 and were great on the track.
thanks for the replies guys, the ones I am looking at are 19 or 22 offset
BUT I have just realised the ones on my bike might be different to standard as the standard front mudguard needed to be chopped off at the rear to fit . . . . . . . .
I was able to order factory 2006 17mm offset triples about 2 months ago at a KTM dealer. They said they were available upon demand.
I recieved the 16/18 adjustable Husaberg triple clamps that Im happy with.
They are set at 16 at the moment.
