Hola amigoes!
Have had some year without Husaberg but last year I got a Husaberg 650 FE 2008 Street legal with supermotard wheels and rekluse.
Runs like a dream,this is my 4th Husaberg 650 and I really loves these bikes.


Also I got a Husaberg 650 2004 that came witout a engine so I got hand of a KTM MTH 650 2 stroke engine that we have been installing in this Husaberg Chassi..Have not started it yet but its getting there soon.

Hi Finnar,

I too own a 08 FE650 which I really like! However, I am a big bore 2 stroke guy at heart. I have been wanting to do a Zabel ZM29 700cc conversion to a KTM, Husky, TM or Husaberg chassis.

I am excited to follow your build with the MTH! Neat thing about the chassis you are using is it already being a right hand drive configuration.

Yeah the Husaberg Chassi is perfect for the big bore 2 stroke KTM engines,It fits very good inside.

I got the inspiration for the build after seing this guy:
Aprilia mth 650cc 2-takts bygge - Sidan 3


The biggest modification on the Husaberg Chassi was the airfilter boot connection that had to be made in aluminium and also the exhaust pipe.

I have also build a KTM SX 125 with a KTM 500 2 stroke engine,this build required alot more moification since the drive chain was orginal on the left side.

First year running the KTM 500 :

And this year we added a new airfilterboot connection in aluminium,Barnett clutch,ported 39mm Keihin carburator,ported boyesen rad valve,ported cylinder and exhaust manifold. Installed a new Honda CR 500 Pro Circuit pipe that we turned little bit to make it fit the frame:

Beautiful cylinder! What does the exhaust port look like? I assume it is or was bridged?
 
And for those of you who says that starting a 500cc 2 stroke is difficult...

Beautiful Zabel 700 ,It must be a dream to run it! I know a guy who build a Husaberg with 700 Zabel engine,this is where I got my exhaust pipe from.
I will post a pic of the exhaust port on the ktm 500 cylinder.

KTM 650 Two-Stroke??!!

What the heck do they power originally?

Awesome project! You do excellent work. That SX125 looks factory.

Neat to see the KTM 500 has 6 transfer ports! I suspect this to be superior to the CR and KX!

Im not sure but the guy I bought the MTH 650 engine from told me that the engine should produce 90 hp..
I am gonna do a dyno test when the build is finish:D

The SX 125 is a amazing slim easy driven KTM,More pics and videos of that bike will come.
 
The super big 2Ts like the MTH 650, Zabel 700, Maico 685 etc. where built to propel sidecar motocross bikes.

Finnar, I have a 2006 FE650. What are the 3 pipe guards you have on yours?
 
It was some universal pipe guard but I have taken it off now.
Waiting for a polish on the pipe soonish
