Has any one noticed the delayed throttle response on the new Bergs I have the 2011 570
And when you wack the throttle on it doesn't respond straight away .
So I got the throttle kit which has 4different sized throttle cams what a difference put the 45 cam on and instant throttle response.

know what your on about but its not throttle repsonse in the sense the engine is slow to pick up it just the throttle cam profile which as you've found is easily changeable.

I noticed on my first ride going over a section of woops couldn't get a rhythm now going over the same section totally different money well spent

i've got one of the original G2 throttle cam kits from before they sold it to KTM and as you say they're a good buy.

Yeah I'm doing the finke desert race again this year on the big bore so I need all the help I can get through 80 and100km of straight woops.

What throttle kit did you buy? I have an 2010 FE450 and have only ridden a few times. I noticed the same thing and I already tightened up the slack in the throttle cables. It is much better, but I am thinking I may want even quicker response. What you did sounds like it might be what I am looking for. Is it just a different throttle cam to bolt on? Or a kit with different cams to try? Thanks...Ty

Tried the 50mm to sick every time I come into a corner wants to mono out of it that's why I went with the 45mm there are 4size cams that come with the kit

Thanks, after I get a couple more rides in I may have to try this out. Seems like it would help the instant response for getting over obstacles in the woods also!

Never fitted one before, how hard is it to do ? My bike suffers the same problem. Never really bothered me except when trying wheelies over logs and stuff, that instant throttle response is not there and you lose your rhythm, reminds me of my old Honda CRF450X that used to bog down till I fitted a bigger bowl on the carb.

Mind you, that lack of instant response can save ya butt as well. If you get a bit loose in the whoops and you twitch that throttle that small lag can stop you squirting the juice in and flipping the bike.

That set is great value when you get new cables and adjusters along with the throttle and cams compared to the G2 throttles.

My G2 was $100 for the throttle and quick cam only.
