ok
on closer inspection i'm seeing something i've personally never seen before in my sheltered little world! they appear to have a flat piston with the middle area left out and no squish. this can't be true so i'm missing a trick obviously!
right? The cylinderhead have the same squish form as the piston, so there is squish.
next, the con rod looks very wide but must therefore be very thin. as usual with husaberg the big end pin just misses the main journal so do these bikes share the same stroke? the cutaway engine appears to be the 450 i would think?
I think the crank-rod-piston is the same as in Ktm Exc range, But husa look like they are going for rollermains insted of ballbearings that ktm have. now 35mm shafts.
the valve angle is very shallow, very very shallow. i would put it at under 30d now. anyway, the rockers are really, really short. probably exactly the same as a sherco.
so despite the upper half looking like a KTM, i don't think it will have much in common with it at all!
still can't get my head around those large gears? anyone?
ist it CB and gearbox ???

Taffy
