Hi all,

I've been reading the forum about HPI ignitions, and some people are quite happy with it while others were experiencing problems.

I need more opinions of people who are using the ignition on their bergs. Im considering buying the stator and the CDI they have with the stator.

The bike is 2000 FC501

Thanks in advance

Hi

I must say that I think that HPI and ELECTREX are different companies with the same products, that is what I think.

About the CDI, my question is that they only have one CDI for all the bikes.

As you know Husaberg had one CDI for each CC, from 99 up, that I think was one ignition curve for each CC.

Will that make a big difference ?? Can't tell you
The first generation of the SEM had just one coil for all the bikes, from the 350 to the 600, and it wasn't even a decent coil !!

About the stator, those are the same for all the CC's, to deal with those you have a lot of info here, as ede pointed you.

Good luck

Thank you Zaga and Ede, i have made my mind and will be ordering a stator from HPI and will be using it with the coil i have which is a TM 14-05 101 890 00 and hope it's gonna be good.

Cheers!

you know Ede, you had a fair bit of help from me but the reason i shut up halfway through was because I didn't think you could hear me, like your ears only worked towards Portugal. sometimes whole sentances are paraphrased.

as I see above, I think the decison was right.

you'll note from 'The doc' that credit was feted on others for ANY input to the doc over and above my work, it's a shame people can't do the same in return. maybe it's an English thing. maybe your attitude is also a German one too.

what do you reckon Zaga?

Hi

You are very sensitive ! :D

English it's not my language, so I try to be as clear as I possibly can, and that's not your case, some times.
Maybe that is why, some times, people listen to me ?? specially if they are not English ??

Don't know if I paraphrased you ?? but if I did it was because I think you wore right, don't see any problem on that ??

You can take all the credits about all the knowledge in the forum, that's not why I write here, just to help and for fun... just don't care

About the DOCs can't understand you ? sorry
I know you want to name the DOC's, Taffys docs as you already told once, for me it's ok, no problem !
I have said too many times that the DOC closed as it is, is getting obsolete and could much better with lots of good inputs.

Anyway, I'm sorry, just don't can't understand why the hell the docs came to this thread ???

I have bought the cdi unit from HPI, but only managed to start the bike for a minute before a bearing fu#ked up... -_-

But when i get it running again I will give you my thoughts on the cdi. I bought it because I want to have some fun with its programmable program, change curves and ignition etc.

Ede

look at the top and you'll see the word 'Wiki'. this is 'the Doc'. I started it as one sheet of A4 and built it up to 24 pages.

I started by dumping what i knew down on paper and then I wrote down anything new that everyone else supplied.

your right Zaga, it is out of date now but back 10 years ago, we didn't have friction on the site like we do now. so writing new stuff is going to be prickly......

but when you use rare words like: equadistant i know you are ad libbing (ad lib) me.

I get enough **** on this site without being copied without credit when I am right.

you are clearer than me Zaga, I just rattle out answers fast and go. In fifteen years here I've not looked up anything more than maybe 3-4 times. it's in my head and it comes from there. that's why sometimes i don't write numbers or 'facts' down.

life is like a pubic hair on a lavatory seat: in the end someone always pisses you off!!!!

I think you should not be so sensitive about the credits thing, everyone knows about your contribution in terms of knowledge.

If I have used your words, it's probably because I have used your knowledge, don't think there is a problem with that ??

A lot of times I just try to organize things, if you still remember that is what I've did when I made you all those docs.

COOL !!

Impressive

I hope no one got their feelings hurt, i got valuable info and what's most important I will have a big smile on my face, when i start my bike soon :)

This forum is a valuable resource and it's one of a kind. Everyone here is equally important. Let's not have our egos clutter up the pages and make it unreadable. Let's enjoy an easy and quick access to topical knowledges.

Best of regards
Thank you all
