How do these insides (piston and valves) look?

Hello team

Took the day off work today and am just about to remove the standard conical valve springs and replace them with the Kibblewhite DVSK (thanks again for all the advice in regards to this Bushmechanic!).

With the head off the piston and valves are all clearly visible. This is what they look like:

The bike has done approximately 11,500kms and is a 2007 FS550e SuperMoto. Bike has an Akrapovič rear can but otherwise the bike is stock to the best of my knowledge. Running at sea level.

How do these internals look to you? Are those exhaust valves looking normal or does that indicate the bike is running a bit too lean?

On a side note, given that I need to order an IWIS cam chain anyway, is it worth replacing the valves while I'm at it?

Thanks all.

Husabergs run rich generally - well, like most bikes. yours looks fine, no different.

as for valves, well its a worry isn't it but luckily it is still just a small minority of people that have the problem.

I do one-piece gas flow tested inlet as well as exhaust valves.

regards

Taffy

If you take them out and check the shape then you judge if or the way they feel (need to be out)

KW also make the valves( husaberg use the same as RFS ktm ) and they also have them oversize and guide for it (more or less everything you could ever need for the head)
