I was told yesterday that Australia got 2012 model Husabergs and the US didn't. I also heard that last year (or the year before), there was a big hue and cry wanting the bikes into the US but less than 100 actually sold.

Next question: Is there any difference between 2010, 2011 and 2012 models. Were some early problems I hear about quietly fixed (KTM has form for pretending problems don't exist, but quietly fixing them on subsequent models).

Here's a link to the Oz one. It looks like it has more 'black' on it than the 2011 models, is this right?

Actually there's 3 questions here :bounce:

The rear subframe is darker on the '12 models, the frame is yellow and the radiator shrouds are different. Other than some minor tweaks here and there nothing has changed over the last few years. The exception being 2010 when they got a batter frame design from 2009 versions.

Didn't you get the yellow framed 4 bangers in Yankee Doodle land? I know you got the yellow framed 2 stokes.

We did not get the yellow framed 12 four strokes here in the US.. instead dealers got a large late year shipment of the left over 2011's. They can still be found for a decent discount, I got my 2011 FE 570 for $7950 with hand guards and aluminum bash plate. My dealer got half a dozen in December of 2011, when they normally would have received the new 12's. They just didnt sell well here.. the boiling gas and bad fuel pumps probably didnt help things.
