I have just spent 6 hours at a dinner night. i was sat with the rest of the Enduro club. I have had to perserviere the most enfuriating banter. they now all own KTM. There is 2x 2-strokes,and 4 4-strokes. they are giving me so much stick that my husaberg is crap! but their oldest bike is a 04 . my machine is '99. they will not do any work on their bikes without my tech assistance.admittedly they are better riders than i am! but when my my girl is up and running she is a good match for their new machines. i can keep up with their bikes any day! i have to wait an eternity for spares. and the local KTM dealer is 3 miles away so their spares are instantly available.i am always paying post and package!
we will see in the winter..when it is cold and wet they will not ride... and i will be out in the deep mud! there you go tht is me letting off steam.
I am fitting 2x mouses tomorrow..yes to the KTM's. i am the single flag bearer for Husaberg!

i feel your pain.. all my riding buddies ride hondas , and yamahas...there always in my ear to dump my berg for a japanese bike.. sure parts are cheaper and easier to get , but everybodies got one... i have yet to hit the trails and come across another Berg(i love its uniqueness) , and once i'm out of the tights and in the open they all eat my dust...
HUSABERG FOR LIFE.... BOO-YA..

Cheers for the support, yeah.. the old lot of my Enduro club all rode Jap crap. We used to swap bikes...all said mine was the the best "balanced " bike. I liked the YZ450 but at twice the price of my bike.. I got the best deal. the Jap bikes have since bit the dust! at least mine is still doing the dirt!! the new competition is the 3 year old {and newer} KTM's. I/my machine still gives them a run for their money!!!

As in everything, there are the enlightened few,and the great unwashed masses.Do you r best to endure their drivel while being aware it is simply jealousy rearing it's ugly head :)

I hear you to Scouser to...Out of 5 enduro bikes of friends of mine i know,Theres my Husa 400, the other 4 are KTMs !

1 cant ride a bike,
1 never gets dirty,
the other two know there stuff and know the Hussys GOOD!
By the way,we now have a Husaberg dealer here in N,Ireland.I could post his number if im allowed!
Gerry.

I bought my husaberg and all mi friends were riding KTM´s. Every one of my friends rode my bike and now, there are three FE's in my riding group!!!!!

It is a privilege to ride bikes so special and unique.

tend to find those who have never ridden a berg are the ones that dis them. those that have ridden one tend to realise how good they are, even if they still go and buy something else.

how true!

Simply remind the poor fools that If you had a KTM too, you'd have to paint it pink and call it a clitoris, cos every c*** has one.

my apologies in advance for those who feel this is in poor taste. Its late and i should be asleep.

Azza.

In my circle of offroad friends I was the first who bought a Husa. I was totally impressed of her riding quality and the power.
Then half a year later a friend of mine bought his first Husa. Another year later another friend of mine bought his.
And so on and so on. Today we´re 6 guys on Husabergs. Most of my friends were infected now by the Husa virus.
Most of them also realized that you´ll get a great bike for your money. Especially on the used market. There I snatched some great bargains.
Compared to KTMs the Husaberg gave me the best price performance ratio. :)
In Germany the situation is a bit different. Spares for the Japanese bikes are quite more expensive than for the european brands. And we have a really good dealer net.
Usually I wait 2 days for specific parts. Mostly the usual parts are on stock at my dealer.

One of my friends had a lot of probs with his ´03 FE 501. Lots of his problems were his own fault.
But some of them wouldn´t have been necessary. Unfortunately, some little failures came from the factory.
Finally this year he changed from the Husa to a Honda CRF 450. Weirdly after riding the Honda for 5 months (maybe 40 hours) now he has to renew the whole cylinder head. Not really funny, but we see that every brand has its own weak points.

By the way, in the past I often got nasty when I heard from a KTM rider or a Jap rider how crappy my Berg is. Today I just try to laugh at them.
It makes no sense to quarrel. I think it would be enough to argue by letting them go for a ride on the Husa.
