Hello from Czech,new incomer here!
Few days ago,I bought 2000 FE501 and Ihave some problems,that i need to solve.This is perfect forum,so I ask---
Ignition ---- bike has original SEM stator+rotor ,i think its Mark3 ,because stator has bottom in plastic,no visible coils. When i disassembly stator and rotor out of bike, put it together and plug a multimeter on revolution sensor,it gives me more than 1 connection per revolution.3-4 i think .Its pretty strange, every my bike i had before gave me 1 connection per revolution .
CDI was broken,so i bought a nameless CDI from chinese 4wheeler with external coil for spark plug for 20euro. IT has 5 entries -power ,input from revolution sensor, -pole on frame, + pole on coil for spark plug and stop button entry. from SEM stator i have 3 cables - green-revolution sensor,black-framepole and red - energy from starting coil .I plugged a 12V directly from battery into power input of CDI ,and all others cables ,...I dont use the secondary starting coil energy generator on stator.
I have a strong spark ! but----it gives me more sparks per 1 revolution .Bike is able to start ,but it runs only on idle RPMS ...Unable to get to higher rpms .....Carburetor set OK,i tried turning stator into different positions -accoding to top position of piston.....only little differences. Is it possible, that multiplet sparks causes this problem? is original CDI aborting multiple sparks and chose only the main one? ---it may be the preparation for various ignition maps ,which newer models has?
I have no posibility for buying new ignition,no money absolutely .Wanna sell it,but it must run.
Any ideas?
