I just read this at a swedish bike news site called hojnyheter.se.

ATK has shown some neat bikes at a retailers fair in the USA. They are Highland bikes somewhat modified to look like ATK's own. First out is the Dirttracker that was shown a couple of years ago. Then we have the Outback which has gotten more mods like forks, fairings etc.

Here are the bikes with Highland look

Very interesting is that one rumor was talking about a 450cc thumper (which should be the one Martin Lind is racing here in Sweden already)
The whole idea with this seem to be some sort of re-launch of ATK including sportsbikes, MXer and SuMos. And speaking of sports bikes, take a look at this beauty with the Highland V-twin.

That is pretty nice indeed... By Made in the USA do they mean the chassis, then?

ATK have re-badged a number of manufacturers / bikes as their own:

Cannondale 4-stroke MX & Enduro Bikes.
Maico 2-stroke MX & Enduro Bikes.

Now it looks like they've given Highland the 'ATK Treatment'.

I'm all for re-badging, it keeps bikes in production which otherwise may not have made it...

Just a pity we're not likely to see any of these models over here in the UK.

the dirt tracker type one looks nice apart from that minging headlight

Nice! Does anyone have experiance with the 07s?

Ridden on, worked on? Whats the availability like?

Always liked the idea of the Outback etc for adventure/do anything bikes, but if I manage to get a bike for that this year it'll probably be something a bit lighter.

The dirttracker definitely has some interesting specs with a listed weight of 129kg or something - with an 85hp twin that should be quite a ride!

If ATK and Highland could put a deal ltogether that would be great.

The headlamp on that dirttracker looks like something that fell off Roby the robot though.

The "Dirttracker" is the same bike Mats has been dragging around for several years.
He just keeps making it less attractive.

The chassis is by Jeff Cole of C&J Racing.

I have a new Highland engine and C&J chassis should anyone be interested in shedding $10,000.00 US.

That was pretty funny!

Been there / done that.
Simply a shiny lure trolling for a big fish.
