So the stock FE390 headlight is dull..

$70 will fix that.

3" hole saw in reverse direction... centered on the little circle on the middle of the lens. Then filed out enough to fit the projector

Hooked up the halo to the running 12v wire on the bike.. whenever bike runs so does the halo

The brown wire on the left connector is the 12v acc power you want to tap into

All wired up, plug and play. The ballast +/- goes to the little running light power. The high beam wire goes to the high beam coil. The low beam wire is unused.

Really awesome light pattern.. should be perfect for road riding/singletrack. I had a Baja Designs Squadron on the Yamaha which was stupid bright but blinding for oncoming drivers and had a very tight hot spot, which made it bad for slow singletrack.

Didn't expect it to be so bright. 55w explains it.
Just bought one. blue 4300k. Thanks for the ebay link too!

Hi, looks really good!

Thanks for the post and the link for eBay. Anyway, the add says the package carries AC ballast.

Any concerns on this or should it work right out of the box on the DC circuit of a FE 390?

AC in the ballast description refers to the output voltage to the bulb. The ballast uses 9-16v DC. I fitted one of the generic HID conversion kits (ballast and bulb) to the OE Husaberg headlight housing and I'm well pleased with it for £16.

I got a HID xenon light kit, will the reflector stand the heat from the light bulb?
It is 35 Watt bulb.

I have used a 60w H4 halogen globe in my 09 for a couple of years now with no dramas. So a 35 w hid should be ok.

Looks really nice, but is there still a opening, so dirt and dust can come into the headunit ?
Or is it possible to put some kit around the projector ?
