Ok let me start buy putting the products I used.
I used the Xentec brand HID conversion kits you can get them on amazon or fleebay I like amazon cause at least your items will show up I bought 1 kits that came with H1 bulbs for my race tech light and since I only needed the one ballast I used the Other ballast for the 650 berg. For the old type KTM/Bergs they use A H4 bulb common auto part. I did not need another set of lighting ballasts so I merely purchased the H4 HID bulb with a standard Halogen high beem (To keep DOT Happy) I had to modify the housing a little to fit the H4 bulb but using a half moon file it only took about 2 minuets.
I am not using the OE Berg mask anymore but I did a quick check and the H4 bulb will also fit in the mask without any type of filing the only thing you will need to do is use a zip tie or clamp to keep the bulb in the mask
The Trail tech unit was simple it uses a H1 bulb and I simply switched the bulb for the HID type and mounted the ballast to the ballast plate
OE Mask (old Style KTM/Berg
Filed mounting location
The Dual light
HID on
Halogen Surprisingly bright as well
HID on the bike
I need to point out that when I bought the H4 bulbs i went with the 10k Heat range this makes the light almost too blue I should have gone with the 8k bulb like i did for the Trail-tech light
Trail tech HID
The lights do take a couple seconds to warm up once they strike an arc but once they are on for a minuet or so they are vary bright a lot more so then any Halogen
All together I spent a hair over 50 bucks to get the 2 bikes set up to HID and all the installing for both bike including wiring took about 45 minuets
