I am husabelgium and at this moment restoring one my husabergs. an FE501 of 90 frame 0000025. and am having problems whit finding the ral color code for the blue frames. hope anybody can help me?
 
eBay is an easy one to find stuff on. but you have look at a lot of sprockets,brake pads,graphics before you find what you want. I found a slave cylinder rebuilt kit for My 70d motor that Husaberg never made. When I install it I’ll let you guys know if it was worth it?

I did search the commercial sites, but I didn't find any paint for the 89-93 frames. Only for the younger types.
and in none of my books it has been written down. the only intell I have is, that Husaberg used ford tractor blue. this is the only thing I know.
forums is something complete new to me, and I hope there is a genius that knows the answer!

If you want it 95% right ...maybe the best thing is to bring the bike to a shop and they can compare theyr colours to yours on the frame ...it won't be 100% perfect but pretty close :)

What kind of paint do you intend to use? Powdercoat, Automotive paint....................House paint.....
 
I would like to use automotive paint.
and taking the frame to the shop will be nearly impossble, because I am allready rebuilding. and they would kick me out of the store on to the street, if I would! lol
So anybody has any ideas?
 
this shop is in the uk but I am sure there is something else in your country..if bringing the bike to a shop is a no go ...

I don't know what exact colour they used in the 90, but if you want to get close to this could be a way

Have a look at Hammerite metal spray, their blue is pretty good match to my 02.
Available on UK eBay, so you should be able to get it sent over to Belgium if it isn't available locally.
 
I spraypainted and baked the subframe in RAL 5013 as Tommy74 posted.
now it is assembeld and it is SPOT-ON!!!
