Got a nice FC600 1998, and love it!! Im going to be doing some grasstrack on it (normally ride sliders) Anything to watch put for on these machines, im a very experiences m/cycle mechaninc and engineer by proffesion, so have done the basics. Also does anyone know if i can change the fuel tank and plastics to a later model, i think i prefer the yellow to fluro!!
Nice forum by the way, can see me spending a lot of nights on here!
If any one wants any machining doing on anything, just holler and ill see what i can do

welcome to UHE pete

the beauty and the beast of UHE is that we still don't know which continent you're from let alone which country although right nw i'd hazard a guess at the UK.

which year is your FC?

you can change the healamp nacelle and front mudguard to later i believe but you are stuck with pre '01 tank and seat.

not a shop pete. just a workshop. trying to build a small business up starting wi me hands and flogging the non-OEM stuff. so that's why you see my race cam, starter motors, and engines etc on fleabay.

hope that answers it.

would love to be a dealer but i think that ktm uk would baulk at a double garage no matter how nicely i said pretty pleaseeeeeee!

sounds like you have it all pretty well covered. the difference mechanically between your 600 and everything you see in the doc is minimal. you have no starter or if you do - it's infront of the engine. your cam runs straight off the crank and not off a gear above it. but you have the same gearbox and clutch as well as everything else being very similar. same rocvkers and valves, ignition, hydraulic clutch and decomps etc.

so a lot of the stuff that works on the later bikes will work on yours.

Taffy
