To chase coyotes you need more than a dirt bike, knowing the smartness of the beast.

What's the asking price?

This is a common question, just fill in the model/year. The answer is always the same. It is a great bike! Are you up to the maintainence requirements and general care this bike will need? Husabergs are not "turnkey" motorcycles, as are Hondas and such. Bergs are built on the edge of performance/reliability, meaning they are not built with excess material to insure reliability through times of abuse and neglect. They demand frequent oil changes, valve adjustment checks, and a look at everything in general. They reward this with being like nothing else you can ride. So, if you are up to it, and the bike you are looking at is in decent shape, buy it! By the way, the FE-501 is one of the all time great bikes! Good luck

I should add that, yes, it will run on pump gas. No rebuild needed if it has been taken care of. Expect to work on it, and learn to love it, it's part of the relationship.

thanks guys.... not much of a mechanic so thinking hard here...I think I can get it for 1,200 ..anyway thats all I will offer... for 1,000 more I cna get anewer xr 650 honda 01..so............. I think i will pass .. ITs on ebay at 961.00 right now if anyone is interested.

again thanks..

Hi there Ojas,

If you're not happiest while holding a wrench, DO NOT BUY THAT BIKE!

We'd rather have you happy on a Honda than Hupset on a Husaberg :)

The bikes are reliable, but that is a 9 year old bike that was originally designed to be the fastest bike on the track. Buying it without knowing the history, and not looking forward to working on it is a disaster in the making!

thanks,
json

For the price and the use I would advise a 125. They go for cheap now and the maintenance is close to null.

lol...hey... a 125..I'm tooo big n old for a kids bike... had a fast 125 when I was 16...lol...last bike was a nighthawk 650 ..

a 250 at least guys c'mon... n Yes I am passing on it due to Ur feedback....thanks.. I probably would of broke something on me before the bik e anyway.
