hi can anyone help I have a fe 250 2014 I had a day riding at tong it went great got home washed it started it about 10 mins then stopped it went back a week later and it will not turn over on button but can short out on selanoid it turns over but will not start help please

Check the fuses. Check the starter button and other obvious electronic connections that might have had water in them after you washed the bike.

I spray a cheap multi spray on my electronics after I washed the bike. Better safe than sorry.

Same issue here no spark 1998 fc501 need some help think its the sem stator again ive now got two that do the same thing wat can i use in its place help would be muchly appreciated cheers from travmister in advance

checked all electric connecters, cleaned them all, still wont turn over. battery and all fuses ok, cant check spark as electric start only, aarrrgggg!!!

Check that the starter button itself is alright. Check both battery connections (I had a loose - one time and it didn't want to start until I found that one out).

Sorry to be quite unspecific checking this and that, but that's the backside of electronics. The good thing about electronics is that sooner or later you will find the problem, it's not about having the right kick and wrist during full moon after you rolled the bike backwards for 2.3 m..... Just start in one logical end (battery connectors or start button) and work your way.

I totally agree. Check the fuses, starter relay, and fuel pump relay. Those were the most common issues with fuel injected bikes not starting.

Don't know if this will work (with bike on stand) but put in high gear turn wheel by hand and have some you to see if your getting spark.

You mad mention that you can short solenoid and bike will turn over and not start. Pull plug place in coil and ground. Short solenoid and look at plug for spark. Do not need a kick to check spark. Do not need starter switch for spark as all the switch does is engage the starter. check for a open between the switch harness and the solenoid as the system is pretty basic. Sorry for the detail, just want to make sure. I would also check the kill switch as if it is in the closed position for some stupid reason it will not allow and ignition eg: spark.

Simple test steps if your not aware.

Unplug harness at kill switch and leave unplugged.
Unplug start button at harness, short both points at starter button harness together and see if starter engages. If by chance it starts, hook up kill switch harness and see if it stalls? Just some thoughts to try.
Pull coil to ensure no water is sitting in plug/coil seat as it will short to ground and not allow it to fire.

Fuel, spark, air, exhaust is all that is required to flash.

Hope you find it as bike is way to new to be having this problem.

Yes. A short in the kill switch after water from the wash could be part of the problem.
Always check the simple things first.
