I just had my oil changed and I previously thought the ignition cover was leaking oil so my dealer changed the cover gasket. On the first ride after the oil and gasket change I noticed oil leaking out of the rubber grommet which holds the stator wires entering the ignition cover. I need to silicone the grommet. My question is how much oil will I loose when taking the ignition cover off to seal the grommet? The grommet won't come out unless I take the cover off. Thanks! 2011 Vs 570

how about lean the bike over on the opposite side to the cover and you'll loose none.
can't recall ever taking the ignition cover off of mine but there shouldn't be that much oil behind it as its not like the clutch which runs in oil
