help identifing a part

I am working on putting the starter and battery back into my '00 FX600. They were out when I got it. I am having trouble identifying a part and where it is supposed to go.

It is located between the battery and the regulator/rectifier. The post out of the bottom is two tiered and threaded. Any help here would be nice. Thanks.

That is a switch ???

The FX has a very simple, very clean wiring. Usualy I like to make the FE wiring like the FX.

DO you have the wiring drawing ? I can send you.

my 00 400 has a small el bracket which allows you to bolt it to the frame upright just under the tank. the 4 gal tank i use pretty well hides it.
