Hi all,
So I have been on the lookout for an off road bike since I sold my XR400R about 6 months ago, and yesterday stumbled across a 2004 FE501 for sale locally. After having a quick look (far too quick in hindsight as I was pretty excited!) I decided to go ahead and buy it!
I didn't really know much about Husaberg I'll be honest, but it really appealed to my desire to have something a bit different!
Impression so far - well after hoisting the front wheel far too easily in second on teh test ride I am blown away by the power and quality of the components. I've yet to take it off road - I'll mainly be on Salisbury Plain and the surrounding area and I'm looking forward to it, if a little nervous as the XR was great fun and caught me out a couple of times but this is in a whole new league!!
I wanted to find out some more information and will be posting some questions in the technical section as there are some jobs to be done, but first I wanted to ask, is the High / Lo power switch really a thing!! It's on the bar next to the throttle - never seen this before!!!
