Alright guys I'm new to the husaberg world after purchasing what I believe to be a fx650e 2003 so far I haven't been able to ride it as it need some work but I'm just saying hello so far so hi

Welcome to the forum,

You should be able to find what you need to get the Berg up and running here.

Carl.

Cheers mate I'm hoping I can get the cylinder head gasket right then I can work on the kick starting problems

welsome matey!

not sure they ever did an FX for the UK but you never know

Taffy

That's what it's registered as anyways but the engine code is 5013133 which is making me think it might be wrong?

it would appear to be a 501 engine and the year is 2003. the 2003 is easy to spot. it has the SEM stator with the round ignition cover with a black bung in it at 11 o clock. it also has an oil drain bung on the lower right side and a magnet next to it. so the appearance is as if it has two drain bungs?

a 650 has about 55mm over the left cover to the HG join while the 501 has about 28mm if I recall?

regards

Taffy

If I'm being honest to you mate I don't know what them components are so I couldn't being to look for them that may make me sound daft but my bikes usually go to the shop to get sorted

well I said it as simple as I could. let's hope the shop is cheap and understands!

Taffy

No mate your right it is a 501 engine I think it may have been registered wrong in 2004? If that's even possible but it is 100% a 501 ordered a cylinder head gasket for a 501 and its the right one and I've spoke to a ktm dealer who have also confirmed it is the 501 from the engine code cheers for your input

Dinglemotard please translate Green laning?? Could it be trail riding/cow trailing a USA term

It's a little project bike mate going to keep the off road wheels and tyres but I'll be using it most on the road and I've wanted a motard for ages after watching superretards for the first time since then I've needed one in my life haha

If you're after some supermoto wheels, I've got a pair of black mag wheels + forks, yokes, complete front brake set up - master cylinder/hose/4 piston caliper/320mm disc (all Brembo, top quality kit). The rear wheel will fit straight in, and the complete front end will bolt straight on to a Berg frame. Just need to get your shock fettled (or replaced with SM spec) and you're fully supermoto'd up! Much better than slinging 17" wheels/tyres on standard (soft, bouncy) enduro suspension and weak front brake.
£450 for the lot - let me know if you're interested?

Edit - all from a KTM Duke 2

Mate where are you based the bikes going in for a top end rebuild but when that's done mate I will take it from you if you fancy holding on to the for me ?

I'm in Hampshire, so would probably have to send them - unless you know anyone down this way?
No problem hanging on to them for a bit, how long do you think you need?
