Hey all! I'm new to the forum & the Husaberg world, but not new to bikes & off-road riffraff in general. I bought a 2006 FE650E last spring as a non-running project from a guy who bought it in the same condition meaning to get to it, and then ended up getting a KTM 300. haha. Lucky me! In any case, it was all there aside from the electric starter, and I was told that that had been burned out due to the previous-previous owner being of .. *ahem* smaller stature and not being able to kick the bike correctly. I meant to get 'er going last summer but got a job in Alaska that sidetracked me, so now I'm getting to things. I've got a shop manual for 2004/2005, and the owners manual + a parts manual, but if anyone has the actual 2006 Service Manual for the bike I'd love to get a copy/file. I've got a couple questions about some wiring that is a little suspect.
Other than that I'm just waiting on a few parts & a plug wrench (thanks to Taffmeisters for the guidance!), then I plan on checking the valve lash & putting things back together, testing the electronics along the way. I'm not intimidated, but this is my 1st 'Berg (& first Euro bike in general) so there is definitely a little bit of a learning curve! That being said, I don't foresee many issues.. I'm pretty familiar with big bore bikes, thumpers & two-strokes, old & new.
Anyway, I'll make a thread about the electronics ?'s and check over the stickies for a manual pdf. Thanks in advance for the help! Glad to be here.
