Hi Allupinya,
Again welcome aboard.

I truly apologize for monopolizing the technical topics. You see, for many years and with regard to Husaberg such was my "real job".

Old habits being hard to break and all.

In any event I am no longer an "official" representative of Husaberg in any capacity and as such more than happy to allow another to steer.

Center stage is indeed up for grabs. Allupinya, SM610, SuperTireGuy, Boss, Brett, Josh, Roy, anyone / everyone, by all means, please be my guest.

The old guard shall remain intact.
In the event you wish me to personally address a topic simply specify and I shall gladly do so, otherwise, I shall make every attempt to refrain from comment in an effort to encourage new member participation.

Should be fun. :)

Best Regards,
Dale

In my opinion,
What we have is an unruly mob.

In my opinion,
Every ship needs a captain, every army a general.

In my opinion.
Without order exists only chaos.

In my opinion,
Leadership is important.

Personally, I long for the days of old when UHE was about nuts, bolts and I answered technical questions.

Volunteers? Nominees?

Amen brother.

Seems to me we have a few bad apples trying to ruin it for the vast majority of us. You know who you are, stop being **** disturbers, If you have nothing better to do please go do it some where else. I for one very much appreciate the information i recieve here whether it comes from Dale Lineaweaver, Dale EO, Berger, LeFrog, Taffy, et all...(no offense to anyone I left out there isn't enough room to list).Again you clowns know who you are, you are the reason Schwim is having the difficulties he has, I look forward to the day I can meet Jason in person and shake his hand man to man maybe buy him a beer cause he is ALL MAN with integrity and passion for his sport and bike of choice God knows we need more like him. As my still riding 70 year old dad says "If you don't have anything nice to say keep your mouth shut" Please stop trying to tear others down. In the immortal words of Oddball "Stop with the negative waves"

Yes, lets get away from "As The World Turns" and talk about Nuts and Bolts! Dale, did you have any involvement in the V Twin Husaberg development and what do you think of it?

I may be wrong in my assessment and assumptions about what UHE or any other online "forum" is, but I come here expecting to find a collegial or communal culture and atmosphere where community technical leaders are free to post in reponse to any post about any subjects.

Given that fundamental assumption, if differences of opinion develop into full blown "pissing" contests and/or the general maturity and respect for others in any particular post thread deteriorates below some prescibed community accepted level of civility, then I would expect the moderators to close the thread and advise any antagonists of the error of their ways.

simply saying this forum should not be like another forum, doesn't get it done. The moderators and the forum ownership have to set the standards by which the community lives and through regular championing of those values and enforcement of community standards, the desired forum culture will take root. Communicating these community values is why businesses have such things as Vision Statements and Corporate Values statements. Perhaps this forum needs such a published and posted document/guideline. a UHE "ownership manual".

Each on line forum develops it's own culture which is rooted in the forum's stated "rules of conduct" and the day to day enforcement/gentle reminder of such by moderators. Someone has said here they don't want UHE to be Thumpertalk, well there are worst more offensive sites then Thumpertalk. TT has alot of good and different value then found in other sites, including UHE. The Point is Each site develops its own rules of conduct and it's own enforcement methods, thereby with the community contributions and posts, establishes it's own culture.

FYI: My assesment of UHE to date is it's pretty much a great technical site and not a place for pages of silly banter. I go to thumpertalk to be silly with other dirt bikers. I try more and more to limit my posts here at UHE to technical subjects - since my bike is new I have little to talk about- I do read many posts though.

Thank you, maybe what I said above is helpfull or maybe its all old hat......take it as it was meant - to be helpful

Well said Bob.
We as moderators are fully aware of the situations described above. We are currently trying to hammer out a "code of conduct" as well as a "mission statement" as to the direction that we would like to see the site RETURN to.
The site was in the past, a haven for the Husaberg enthusiast and a great resourse for knowledge. We would like to see it return to just that, with as little drama as possible.

Thanks again for your insight Bob as it just reinforces our stance.
