Hi, I recently got a 2003 fe400e dualsport.The headlight only works on the high beam. I checked the wiring and it appears to have a broken wire between the switch and the junction connector on the steering head. Of course the connection at the switch is buried under the other wires there so it would be a pain to solder a new wire on and feed it through the sheath. I think it would be easier to replace the switch assy, but it is hard to find stuff for the pre 04 models. Does anyone know if the switch was the same on any other models or maybe a KTM? I could splice a piece of wire into the middle, depending on where the break is, but that seems a little cobby.I am looking forward to getting the bike on the road, just need the lights to work to pass inspection.
