surprised that its not been mentioned already that HD have pulled the plug on Buell, shame about that as i did quite like the Buells.

they were something a but different, a bit like husaberg.

strange thing though is that they're sticking with MV Agusta. starnge really as you see hell of alot more Buells than you do Mv's

ah, so they're getting rid of MV as well.

if you go to the Buell website there's a video announcement by Erik Buell, poor chap doesnt sound happy and who can blame him.

from talking whilst is was across the pond i do reckon the US in general seems to have been hit harder by the global turn down than alot of countries.

I'm just sick about it, heartbroken really. I so wanted Buell to succeed. I have an '04 XB12S Lightning and it's probably the most fun street bike I've ever owned. I truly hope Erik and company can at some point in the future continue, with no association with HD.

That's quite a shame, I've always had an interest in Buell due to their eccentricity, they like to be different which is something brave nowadays. We need niche companies like Buell and Berg to have the balls to be inovative in directions the big manufacturers are too scared to turn. I very nearly bought one last week, it was between a Buell and a Aprilia 750 Dorsoduro, I've opted for the Aprilia but after riding both it was a close call.

The biggest heartbreak to me was that HD and MVAugusta were corroborating to build an american made dirtbike under the HD name. I assume that project is dead... I was looking forward to what that may have brought. Just imagine being able to buy an american made dirtbike again. Haven't been able to do that since cannondale!

This deal is a HUGE loss. I really loved Buell's.
