I've just been in correspondence with Haynes the book publisher who make the workshop manuals for bikes. I was trying to persuade them to publish a book covering 2001-2008 bikes but alas it's not to be.

Here in the UK there are thought to have been less than 1,500 units sold and that just isn't enough to go ahead.

whats wrong with the factory manual?

basically the factory manual doesn't recognise any difficulties in carrying out the work or modifications that can reasonably be made. it also has all the torques, tolerances and wiring diagrams in the parts manuals and not in the workshop manual.

Since a Hayes manual isn't in the offing, how does one get a copy of the factory manual?

The Husaberg site only has owners manuals and parts manuals, not service manuals, and there's nothing available for 2010 and 2011 models.

berg-parts.com I got the OE CD manual with everything you need to know and then some for 29? bucks I think it was. It covers the FE/FX/FS 390 450 570 the CD even has all the fault codes and trouble shooting for them in it

you're well off subject by now. this is about 2001-2008 mate?

the old bikes needed a lot of work and a book from Haynes for everybody (not just those here but people who have never heard of UHE and likely never will) would have been great.

let's not confuse the push button 'gimme's' of today with what we used to (and still do) have to ride.
