A short report from one of the big races in Sweden. It’s Gotland Grand National. The statistics are not finished but it is normally around 2300 and 2500 who will try to finish the race. It’s a lap race. In the home page http://www.gotlandgrandnational.com/ there is an invitation in English if you want to see the rules. However, one interesting thing is the result below. There are different classes but the over all top three are:
1 Mats Nilsson SMK DALA FALUN Yamaha 250
2 Samuli Aro ? KTM 525
3 Anders Eriksson TIBRO MK Husqvarna 500

A Yamaha WR250 is the fastest bike. He is good and has won some Swedish races before. None of the Husaberg pilots are in the result list. I hope they will attend in Novemberkåsan which are the hardest race in Sweden. There are no photos posted on the home page yet. This year the race was dry. In the right column there is a head line: “Video”. Choose “video motor” and the first video which starts with “Nilsson …”. It’s in Swedish, Anders Eriksson speaks a little and the other is the winner of the race. Anders Eriksson has never finished as number one in this race.
