Took of the rocker cover, and just wanted to verify if the rocker assembly in my 2002650 is the older or the newer type? How can i be sure?

How about the cam sprocket, i tried to scratch it with a screw driver, and i couldn't so i suppose it is steel and thus the newer better type sprocket, anyone can verify this?

Another thing is, when I look inside the head at the exhaust valves, they are black from exhaust fume deposits, are they supposed to be shiny and clean just like the inlet valves? Or is it normal that they blacken due to the exhaust fumes passing?

cocme on belgiqye! got off your arse and go into 'red alert' in the doc. there is a photo there of what the modified cam follower bearings look like. clear as day!!!!!

you need to pull the pin out of the rocker arm so you can see it from the side.

BTW, i have an '02, and it has the modified rollers and i'm putting new ones in this week. so i'm afraid your bike is sufficiently old enough now to warrant new bearings regardless.

Try a magnet on the cam gear. That should let you know for sure on the gear. It does look like it's steel from the picture.

@ taffy, sorry my mistake, didn't completely understand the explanation in the owners doc, english isn't my first language.

But checking that picture with my rocker arm bearings, it seems that I have the older type, maybe put this picture in the owners doc too, so it'll be easier for non english speaking readers to understand.
