Glowing 02 650 headers?

Started the bike in the garage earlier just for a few mins and the headers were red hot is ithins normal? or could it be telling me its LEAN ?

Mostly what it is telling you is to quit starting it in the garage and letting it sit there and idle.

Depending on the exhaust material/thickness, most high performance four strokes will get hot enough to turn the beginning part of the header orange if started and let to idle for even a few minutes.

Can you confirm that the hot start button in the 'off' position?
 
It's normal, don't worry about it.

If you are going to be running it in the garage make sure it's on some sort of center stand so that the bike is in it's normal riding position and not leaned over to the left to keep the cam lobes from oil starvation, and put a good sized box fan as close as possible to the radiator and motor.
