hey just been out on the bike for a second time,since i bought it.(fe 501

.03)kicked up first time .oh yes
rides to were we practice:" on the bike",very wet muddy no one round all by myself:
ho well at least no one can laugh when i come off !
2hours later and a couple of little spills just riding a long luckily down the hill and not up ,the bike just decides to cut out not to restart know matter wot.
had it ticking over a couple of times tryed to open the throttle engine just dies.
now then heres were it gets interesting and a lesson is learned.middle of no were,by my self in all the exitment of going for a days riding on my lovely new reliable BERG no phone with me no car no other transport helmet pads boots ect 3miles cross country to nearest road with a fe501full of petrol mud ect now 120kg of dry bike becomes 200kg of nightmare? STOP LAUGHING!!
HAD TO PUSH the dame thing over 3miles to the main road then to a near by friends house a further mile.

left the bike there got home and i am still recovering:+ Istill ave to fix it.
 
not the trak im practicing on hey not ridden for 10 years belive me i have pleanty or fuel left,! in the bike any way:
as for myself im knackered
 
You have oil in the airbox and carb from your spill. Clean out the airbox and fload bowl and all should be good says my crystal ball :wink:
 
2nd

they LOOK like they have fuel but infact they doin't. 2-3" up the side and infact they're empty....

be careful!

i wish it was a fuel thing ,but there is pleanty of fuel in the tank ,i will get the bike home to day check its sparking ok drop fuel out of carb bowl ect check fillter put back together and see if it starts if not why not? just seems strange the way its cut out it was running fine n o spluttering or back fires .ok one min dead the next. :(
 
Water in the carb jets or fouled plug. You likely didn't have a spare plug or tools with you then, but I'll bet you do next time :oops: Let us know what you find so we can ridicule you about it later. :roll: See Ya!
